I blow dry and straighten my hair everyday, in addition to dying it monthly, and putting some on the ends of my hair enlivens it up again. :]

I did rainbow hair once and it took a month before any of the colors even began fading. Manic Panic is a hit or miss product. Just like every other type of hair dye. Every hair type is different.
